High-Efficiency Seed Cleaning, Grading and Protection Solutions

Transforming the raw product from the field into value-added and certified seed requires a precise engineering process. The SRD Machine Grain Sifting Plant ensures that the product is cleaned of foreign seeds, unwanted debris and weak grains; it is then calibrated to the desired sizes and made ready for sowing. Operating as standard with an input capacity of 3 to 5 tonnes per hour, our system processes the raw product to a cleanliness rate of 95–97%.

Integrated Plant Components and Process Flow

At the plant, which was installed on a turnkey basis by SRD Makine, the technological stages through which the product passes are as follows:

1. De-Awner Machine: It improves the germination capacity of the seed by removing the husks, particularly those found in barley. In the initial stage, it prepares the product for the next stage of coarse cleaning.

2. Vibratory Sieve Seed Pre-Cleaner: Coarse debris, straw and light dust within the product are removed from this unit by vacuuming and screening.

3. Serial Screening and Sizing: The product is passed through sieves at different levels, where it is cleaned by the air flow and precisely sorted into grades according to particle size (calibration).

4. Indent Cylinder Seperator: After sizing, the most difficult-to-separate materials within the product—such as oats, wheat ears and foreign seeds—are removed with near-100% accuracy thanks to the trieur’s special pocketed drum design.

5. Liquid Treatment Unit: To protect the cleaned seeds against pests, fungi and microorganisms, the surface of the product is evenly coated with a chemical pesticide.

6. PLC Weighing and Bagging: High-quality seeds that have undergone all stages of the process are packaged accurately to the required weights using PLC-controlled automatic or mechanical scales.
