The Indent Cylinder Separator is a modular cleaning and seed improvement machine designed to separate bulk seeds with millimetre-level precision based solely on differences in length (broken, short, round or long grains) in situations where air screens, light-grain separators or vibrating tables fall short of the required separation limits based on width and weight.

Operating Principle and Equipment Features: The system operates using a cylindrical drum mechanism that rotates on its own axis, featuring special oval-shaped recessed pockets on its inner surface:

• Separation Mechanism: The short/round grains and broken wheat within the raw material entering the cylinder settle perfectly into these pockets under the centrifugal force generated by the cylinder’s rotation and are transported upwards. Upon reaching a certain elevation angle, these short grains, succumbing to gravity, escape from the pockets and fall into the collection screw (helical screw) located at the centre of the cylinder, where they are separated from the line. Standard grains that are too long to fit into the pockets, however, remain at the base of the cylinder as they cannot settle into the pockets, and proceed towards the outlet.
• Modular Architecture and Drive System: The trieur systems are designed to be scaled up or down in a modular fashion according to the plant’s capacity requirements. The system utilises high-strength, inverter (speed controller)-controlled Yılmaz brand gearboxes as the drive components. This enables the rotational speed of each cylinder motor and the drum inclination to be optimised independently and precisely according to the characteristics of the product being processed.
