The Single Deck Screen Cleaner is a calibration machine designed to sort cereals, pulses, oilseeds and nuts—which have already undergone preliminary cleaning or do not require cleaning—solely on the basis of their size. It separates the product into a maximum of two different sizes—undersize and oversize—with millimetre precision, whilst also removing any broken grains. In industrial lines, it is typically positioned at the outlet (lower section) of colour sorting (Photosorter) machines, serving as the final quality control stage.

Working Principle: The machine, which operates entirely mechanically and focuses on dimensional calibration without any air suction or aspiration system, functions as follows:

• Eccentric Vibration System: Raw material entering the feed hopper is discharged onto the screening trough. Linear vibration waves applied via powerful eccentric bearings ensure the product spreads evenly across the screen surface as it moves forward.
• Two-Size Gradual Separation: As the machine contains a single screening trough, the raw material, moved by vibration, is separated into a maximum of two different sizes—undersize and oversize—resulting in a total of two distinct product sizes at the end of the process.
• Brush-Assisted Screen Cleaning: Integrated mechanical brushes located on the underside of the screen plate prevent the mesh from becoming blocked or clogged during screening. Thanks to this brushing mechanism, the machine’s operational efficiency is always maintained at the highest level.
