The Five Deck Seed Grader is a single-chamber calibration machine designed to sort cereals, pulses, oilseeds and nuts—which have already undergone preliminary cleaning or do not require cleaning—solely by size. It sorts the product with precision into up to five different sizes, ensuring that broken grains are removed.
Working Principle: Designed entirely with sizing and calibration in mind, the machine contains no air suction or cleaning functions and operates purely on the principle of mechanical vibration:
- Distribution Hopper and Feeding: The raw material to be calibrated is first transferred evenly onto the screening trays via an integrated product distribution hopper.
- Vibrating Screening Line: The product is spread evenly across the screen surface by means of vibration applied to the frame. Five screening trays arranged one above the other provide an additional screening layer compared to four-tray models, maximising sorting accuracy.
- Multi-Stage Calibration and Broken Part Separation: The raw material passing through the screen mesh is separated according to size, yielding five different final product grades. During this process, broken grains within the product are also completely separated from the main mass and directed to independent discharge chutes. The system can be optionally manufactured with a fixed or mobile (wheeled/portable) chassis architecture, depending on the facility’s layout and mobility requirements.
Products Processed and Graded: It is safely used for the precise commercial grading of all dry-seeded agricultural products, including soya beans, chickpeas, beans, broad beans, lupins, sesame, lentils, wheat, rice, sunflower seeds and cumin.
