The Barley Crusher is a 380V three-phase (industrial current) industrial feed preparation machine that processes all types of cereals and pulses—such as barley, wheat, maize and vetch—into flakes, and is suitable for a wide range of applications from chick feed to rations for cattle and sheep.

Working Principle: The machine operates on the principle of compression by high-strength steel cylinders (rollers) driven by a powerful motor:

• Solid Steel Rollers:Instead of hollow tubular components, the system utilises a two-roller (or optional four-roller) structure made from heat-treated, grooved, high-strength solid air-hardened steel. Roller diameters are manufactured in 40, 60 or 100 cm, depending on the model.
• Precise Thickness Adjustment: The distance between the cylinders (ball adjustment) can be set within a range of 0 cm to 15 cm. This allows the thickness of the processed raw material to be professionally optimised according to the animal’s species and feeding habits.
• High Power and Efficiency: Depending on capacity requirements, Gamak or Yılmaz brand motors with a power output of 11–15 kW (maximum 1,400 rpm) are used. The machine, equipped with a 16-amp thermal switch for protection, delivers high crushing performance ranging from 700 kg to 4,000 kg per hour.
• Conditioning Process: To ensure the feed emerges homogeneous and intact, like a flake, it is recommended to moisten the product by adding 6% water 12 hours prior to the grinding process (conditioning).
