In industrial facilities, the separation of airborne particles from the main flow is critical for both system integrity and raw material quality. The SRD Machine Dust Cyclone is a highly efficient static separator designed specifically to separate dust, straw and other light foreign matter generated in grain processing and cleaning sections.<\/p>\n
Principle of Operation<\/p>\n
Cyclones operate based on aerodynamic principles (centrifugal effect) with a design containing no moving parts:<\/p>\n
Air and Dust Inlet: Dust-laden air, drawn in by an external extractor fan, is forced tangentially into the top of the cyclone.<\/p>\n
Centrifugal Separation: The cyclone\u2019s conical structure causes the incoming air to rotate at high speed, creating a vortex. Dust and foreign particles, which are heavier than air, are flung towards the walls by centrifugal force.<\/p>\n
Discharge Process: Particles that lose speed upon striking the walls settle downwards under gravity and are discharged without air leakage into the system via the airlock (cell wheel) mounted beneath the cyclone.<\/p>\n
